3rd forum discussion

First part: Read the article in the link above and reflect a little on it.

Second part: Take this metaphor: In the classroom, the teacher is the gardner, the students are the seeds/flowers and the classroom is a fertile soil. Try to explain it, using your own words.

  1. The classroom (fertile soil) is the place where the teacher (gardner) can prepare the students (Flowers) to grow up. In the classroom the teacher has his instruments and space to use his creativity to let the students absorb what is important and necessary.

  2. This metaphor explains the possibilities in the learning aspect;highlighting the importance of the three items:teacher,student and classroom.The teacher as carrier and facilitator of knowlwdge ,the students as receptors and the classroom as enabling environment the learning.

  3. A sala de aula é um solo fértil porque nela o professor pode usar diversas metodologias. O professor será o responsável pela difusão do conhecimento e os alunos serão os receptores. Através do uso dessas metodologias o professor preparará os alunos para que eles , a partir de então, possam se desenvolver por conta própria.

The classroom help to improve the classes, because you imagine a class in the afternoon with a very hot time: the students will not pay attention and the class will get boring.

  9. A sala de aula é um solo fértil, porque é a partir do conhecimento semeado pelo professor que o aluno adquiri mais conhecimentos, assim transmitindo a outras pessoas e por sua própria conta.

  10. A sala de aula é um terreno fértil porque a cada dia o professor semeia novos conhecimentos aos seus alunos, ou seja a cada dia o aluno adquire novos conhecimentos relevantes ao uso no seu dia-a-dia escolar.

  12. A sala de aula é um jardim onde existem várias possibilidades, outros ao verem podem não perceber. Mas a visão do professor no papel do jardineiro se abre a mil possibilidades do que fazer com as sementes que ele recebe. Ele tem ideias, materiais e técnicas que transformem esse jardim em um jardim com vida e renovado, onde tenham possibilidades de crescimento.

Assim como um bom jardineiro que cuida de suas flores e preserva sempre o solo fértil, o professor é o responsável pelo jardim, ou seja pela sala de aula, acho que o um bom professor tem que ser firme e determinado em certas situações e amigo em outras, deve sempre está em sitonia com a sala de aula.

  17. Well, this metaphor give us the idea that teacher has the knowledge, that he can operates in a way of introducing things into the head of the students, which is opened and availlable for learning.
